Working out in your hotel room possible?
It can be easy to find yourself in situations where you don’t have the equipment and very little room for the kind of workout you’re used to getting. This is a common situation that many find themselves in while traveling.
Try these simple for working out in your hotel room:
Cardio:
- Burpees: Yes the dreaded burpee! However, it is a very effective exercise. It is high-intensity the utilizes the entire body.
- Jumping Rope: This exercise may seem vintage but it is well-established in various athletics. It uses many different muscle groups to perform: glutes, calves, shoulders, and back.
- Jumping Jacks: A calisthenics type of exercise.
- Mountain Climbers: Targets your core, shoulders and hips. Also, a great cardio workout.
Arms and Back:
- Bench Dips: Bench dips can be performed using a chair or other type of elevated seated platform. Safety first.
- Inchworm: This exercise raises your core temp, shoulders, hips, and abdominal core.
- Plank Reach: This exercise is more difficult than the standard plank. By extending your arm forward you engage the back as well as the abdominal core more efficiently.
- Bicep Curls: Use and item for resistance that you may find around the hotel room (unless you brought some bands).
Legs and Glutes:
- Squats
- Lunges
- Wall Sit
- Glute Bridges
